Where appropriate, BARA events may be independently accredited for continuing professional development.
The applicable CPD hours or credits will be stated clearly for each eligible event.
Attendance at an event does not constitute certification of clinical competence or authorisation to undertake a particular procedure.
Participants remain responsible for working within their professional competence, training and regulatory obligations.
Scientific and Commercial Independence
BARA’s event programmes are developed according to educational and scientific priorities.
Sponsors, exhibitors and commercial supporters may not control:

speaker selection;

scientific conclusions;

professional recommendations;

editorial or governance decisions.
Commercially supported sessions will be identified clearly, and relevant speaker and faculty interests will be disclosed.
BARA welcomes proposals for:

collaborative educational events.
Proposals should outline the subject, intended audience, learning objectives, proposed faculty, format, funding and relevant declarations of interest.
All proposals are subject to scientific, educational and governance review.
Eligible organisations may enquire about appropriate event partnership, sponsorship or exhibition opportunities.
Commercial support is governed by written agreements and BARA’s policies on sponsorship, transparency and professional independence.
Support does not confer endorsement, additional voting rights or influence over scientific content.
